Delhi’s public transportation infrastructure would have been efficient and problem-free had a BJP government been in power, claimed Manoj Tiwari, BJP MP representing North East Delhi, Tuesday.
Tiwari’s comments came hours before the Delhi Transport Corporation is scheduled to induct 400 electric buses in its fleet under the central government’s Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) II Scheme.
The Central government…will hand over 400 such electric buses to Delhi today..under FAME II..300 buses have already been given, and 521 more of these ultra-modern buses will be given soon…” he said in a post.
“I wish..there was a BJP government in Delhi because then 8000 such buses would be on the streets of Delhi..the DTC would have been efficient and problem-free too” he also said in the post before taking on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena and CM Kejriwal are scheduled to flag off 400 electric buses later on Tuesday.
Both had, in a rare display of unity on the heels of the upcoming G20 Summit, flagged off a lot of 400 such buses on August 31 as well.
“Since these are supposed to be operated by the state government, Arvind Kejriwal will also come for the inauguration along with the L-G…Arvind ji…whether you buy them or not, at least run these buses properly,” Tiwari said attacking the Chief Minister.
This is Narendra Modi’s greatness that he leaves no stone unturned to provide facilities to its people even if there’s no BJP government in the city. He lives in their hearts which is why the people of Delhi wholeheartedly give him the seven MP seats” he also said.
Expressing gratitude to the PM and extending congratulations to the people of the city, Tiwari said the face of Delhi’s transportation infrastructure would have been different had there been a BJP government in power.
